PhotoCleaner
Duplicate Photos
PhotoCleaner finds the copies filling up your gallery — and lets you decide what goes. One scan covers four groups, you preview every item before anything is deleted, and nothing is deleted on its own.
Scan four groups in one pass
- Duplicate photos: identical copies, grouped together. The original is protected; copies are pre-ticked for review
- Similar photos: burst shots and near-identical versions, grouped side by side. Similar does not mean identical — you choose, nothing here is pre-ticked
- Screenshots: screenshots you no longer need, in one place
- Large videos: videos of 100 MB or more, sorted biggest first. Large does not mean unwanted — review before you remove anything
Preview before anything is deleted
- You see a thumbnail of every item before you tick it. Nothing is deleted on its own, and no file is counted as "junk" just because it is big
- Trash first: on Android 11 and later, items go to the system trash, where you can restore them
- Undo: restore trashed items from the app or from your gallery while the system keeps them
- Delete permanently: only after a separate confirmation. Android shows its own confirmation too. Permanently deleted items cannot be recovered — this app does not promise photo recovery
Private by design
All scanning happens on your phone. Your photos are not uploaded to any server, and the app does not need an account. PhotoCleaner only asks for permission to read your photos and videos, because finding duplicates across your whole library is the app's core job. If you grant access to selected photos only, the app scans only those photos.
Free version
The free version shows a banner ad on the results screen. A future Pro upgrade will remove ads.
What PhotoCleaner does not do
It does not clean junk files or cache, does not remove viruses, does not speed up your phone, and does not recover photos you have already deleted permanently. If you need those things, this is not the app for them.
