Privacy Policy — Pocket Scan — Offline Document Scanner & OCR

Effective date: October 22, 2026 · App package: app.pocketscan.tools

The short version

We, the developer, collect no data about you or your documents. Scanning, enhancing and OCR all happen on your device. Your documents are never uploaded anywhere — there is no account, no cloud sync and no server for them to go to. The scanning feature is provided by a Google Play services component; Google may collect anonymous diagnostics from that component, as described below.

Data we collect

None — the developer collects no data. Pocket Scan has:

Third-party component: document scanning is provided by Google Play services (ML Kit). The first time you scan, Play services may download the scanning component once; after that, scanning works offline, including in airplane mode. Google states that its ML Kit components may collect diagnostic information — such as device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance metrics and error data — sent to Google over an encrypted connection for diagnostics and usage analytics, and not shared with third parties. Your documents and their contents are never part of that data.
